Monitoring, Oct 18 (INP) – On day three of the second Test against Australia, middle-order Pakistani batsman Azhar Ali was run out in a most hilarious fashion.
Azhar hit Peter Siddle’s delivery towards the boundary and assumed it as a four. The player started conversation with Asad Shafiq in the middle of the pitch.
However, the ball stopped short of the boundary where Australian left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc picked it and threw it to Tim Paine who claimed Azhar Ali’s wicket.
The Pakistani player was sent back to pavilion after scoring 64 runs.
International Cricket Council, on its Twitter account, termed Azhar’s dismissal as bizarre.
Social media users also reacted to the run out by posting different memes.
