  CPEC biggest achievement of government; Process of development irreversible; FPCCI
   
 
ISLAMABAD, May 18 (INP): The Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) on Thursday said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is the biggest achievement of the government which will change the fate of the country and the people. The CPEC is the most import part of the One Belt One Road (OBOR) Project which is connecting 68 countries around globe having 40 percent share of the global GDP, it said. Some countries are opposing this project and initiating conspiracies but their designs will never succeed as the process of development is irreversible, said Atif Ikram Sheikh, Chairman FPCCI Regional Committee on Industries. He said that China is investing 150 billion dollars on OBOR project and so far it has invested over one trillion dollars in it therefore she will never abandon or change the dimensions the project for unfounded reservations of any country. CPEC and OBOR are realities and it would be in fitness of things for all the nations opposing it to stop opposing it on false assumptions and join it for rapid development, he added. Atif Ikram Sheikh said that western economic policies have failed while Brexit and inward looking policy of US after Donald Trump proves increased fragility of the concept of globalisation and free market economy. The opposition to globalisation in the west has played an important role in strengthening Chinese idea which is based on peace through development across the globe, he added. The business leader said that OBOR is not just about infrastructure but it will end the economic dominance of west and begin rise of Asia on the global economic map which will be beginning of a new era of peace and prosperity.
