  Pakistan participates in Int’l summer camp in Beijing
  ISLAMABAD, July 13 (INP): Pakistan will participate in International students’ summer camp, begins in Beijing on Friday. A group of 17 students and three teachers including male and female from different schools mainly from the country’s remote region left this evening to represent the country in the ten-day event, that meant to further develop socio-economic exchanges and cooperation among the participating countries. A send-off ceremony was held at the Chinese embassy prior to their departure. The visit of the Pakistani group was arranged by the Embassy and Beijing Bureau of Education.  It was the fourth consecutive year that Pakistani students and teachers were joining the summer camp. Addressing the send-off ceremony, Charge D’ Affairs of Chinese embassy Zhao Lijian hoped that the Pakistani youth will act as ambassador of their country to further promote decades-old deep-rooted partnership between the two countries. It will provide them an opportunity to see the social and cultural life of the Chinese people. After the last visit of the Chinese President Xi Jinping to Pakistan, the relationship of the two countries have entered a new stage, getting momentum in their bilateral ties, particularly on people-to-people level. Speaking about the depth of their ‘hear-to-heart’ relationship, Zhao LIjian said this could not be compared with any other country of the World.  He said many Chinese call Pakistani as “Pak Iron”, meaning that the friendship is as strong as steel.  This deep and firm friendship stems from the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership, the two countries have developed. He hoped through this trip, they would able to catch a glimpse of how deeply this friendship has rooted in the hearts of Chinese people. He specially mentioned personal efforts of Madam Bao Jiqing, wife of the Chinese ambassador in making the participation of the Pakistani side in the camp possible.   Syeda Zhra Sadood Fatimi, MNA on the occasion expressed her utmost pleasure and joy on the participation of Pakistani children in the camp. She thanked the Chinese embassy for their support passing on this friendship from generation to generation. Mrs. Itrat Rubbat Haider of City International School said eight students of their Quetta campus would be participating in the camp, and it good sign that the students from the remote region would be visiting China this time.
