JAKARTA, April 4 (Xinhua) — Mount Merapi, the most active volcano in Indonesia, has seen white smoke spewing underneath the ground on Saturday, sending gas clouds into the sky.

Located in the borders of Central Java and Yogyakarta provinces, the volcano’s violent eruption killed more than 200 people and forced hundreds of thousands to flee their homes in 2010.
