NAB pleads IHC to reject Nawaz Sharif’s bail plea

ISLAMABAD, Feb 12 (INP): The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has submitted its reply over bail plea filed by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday.

A two-member bench of the IHC including Justice Aamir Farooq and Mohsin Akhtar will take up the two bail pleas of erstwhile prime minister today, seeking bail on the medical grounds.

A 18-page response submitted by the accountability watchdog pleads the court to dispose-off Nawaz Sharif’s bail. “The NAB opposes granting bail to PML-N supremo as two pleas were under hearing against him”, the answer read. The NAB has requested the IHC to impose fine on Nawaz by disposing off his bail plea. INP/AK
