BEIJING, Nov 19 (INP): The second meeting of the First Council Board of “Belt and Road” Medical Device Innovation and Application Alliance (BRMDIA) was convened in the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) by the joint efforts of 109 institutions from 20 countries and regions through online and on-venue modes.
The council meeting was held to review the one-year work and have an outlook for the plan of 2022. Three alliance member units won the Special Contribution Award of 2020-2021 for their outstanding performance.
Dr Muhammad Shahbaz President of China Pakistan Medical Association from Pakistan has actively promoted China-Pakistan cooperation in the medical field and was top on the list.
Talking to CEN, Dr Muhammad Shahbaz said that as Chairman of China Pakistan Health Corridor & President of China Pakistan Medical Association he feels immense pleasure to address the council board as a new member of the Belt & Road Medical Device Innovation Alliance.
“I am honoured to be able to come to USST for this wonderful event and I can’t help admiring the dynamic and prospective Alliance, which has created so many opportunities for our future cooperation”, he added.
“I very much appreciate this honour because today it is a historical day for healthcare cooperation between China and Pakistan. Medical device and high-tech instruments are the basis of advanced & future of medicine”, he mentioned.
