Radio Pakistan will broadcast special programmes on Pakistan Day

ISLAMABAD, March 21 (INP): All stations of Radio Pakistan have prepared special programmes for Pakistan Day to highlight the significance of Lahore Resolution adopted in 1940 which paved the way for creation of Pakistan.

Messages of the President and Prime Minister will be aired during programme Subh-e-Pakistan at 7:10 a.m tomorrow (Friday). The programme will also include a feature and impressions of prominent personalities about Pakistan movement.

Live eye-witness account of Pakistan day parade by armed forces will be aired from Parade Ground Islamabad.

At 11:05 a.m. a special programme “Sukhi Ghar” will be aired in which role of women in democratic struggle and media will be highlighted.

At 3:30 p.m a special seminar on “the historical importance of Pakistan Resolution” will be aired.

Arrangements have been made to broadcast live the investiture ceremony in which President will confer civil and military awards upon people rendering outstanding services in different fields.

A special play in connection with the day will be broadcast at 9:10 p.m followed by Special Mushahera in which prominent poets will recite their poetry depicting different phases and aspects of Pakistan movement, spirit of nation building and patriotism.

Radio Pakistan news correspondents across the country will feed special news reports of Pakistan Day functions being organized in different cities.

The News and Current Affairs channel has also arranged Marathon Transmission in connection with the day in which discussions, national songs and news reports will be aired.
