Rawalpindi Rescue 1122 teams on Friday recovered the vehicle, which swept away in floodwater after heavy rain in Islamabad 10 days ago, and also retrieved the dead body of a girl who was sitting in the vehicle along with her father who also died.Rescue 1122 sources said that the vehicle was found from a rainwater drain under Kak Pul in Rawalpindi, and the dead body of the young girl was also recovered.

Earlier on July 23, 2025, the body of retired colonel Qazi Ishaq, who was swept away in a storm drain along with his daughter during heavy rains in Islamabad, has been found after hectic search efforts. The body was found in the Swan River. However, the search for his daughter continued. The body was found after 1122 Rawalpindi teams discovered the door and bonnet of the missing vehicle under the Swan Bridge.

The tragic incident happened in a private housing society in Islamabad where Ishaq Qazi was driving a car with his 25-year-old daughter. Due to heavy rain, water accumulated on the road and his car got stuck in the deep water. Colonel Qazi tried to restart the car and drive through the water, but the strong water currents pushed the car into the rainwater drain.
