A number of shops were destroyed when a massive fire broke out in a mini-market in Kharian. The incident took place on Kotla Sadwal Road in Kharian. Soon after receiving the report, a Rescue 1122 team rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.

Rescue sources said that goods inside the destroyed six shops, two loader rickshaws worth millions of rupees, were also burnt to ashes. The shops were closed due to Eid. The cause of the fire was not known. Rescue sources further revealed that this is the second incident of fire during the past four days.
