China's North China Electric Power University (NCEPU) and University of Lahore (UOL) signed here multiple academic cooperation agreements, strengthening educational and technological ties between the two countries. The agreements cover student and faculty exchanges as well as joint research initiatives in renewable energy technologies, aimed at promoting innovation and a sustainable energy future.

The Pakistani delegation was led by Awais Raoof, Chairman of the Board of Governors at UOL. They were received by Liu Wei, Vice President of NCEPU. Liu highlighted the historical ties between China and Pakistan and noted the potential for expanded cooperation in higher education and renewable energy.

Raoof said the agreements would enhance academic growth and foster innovation in critical sectors. He expressed optimism that the collaborations would contribute to Pakistan's evolving energy landscape. Another member of the delegation, Khalid Taimur Akram, placed the partnership within the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

He praised NCEPU’s global leadership in energy research. Following the signing, the delegation toured the State Key Laboratory of Alternate Electrical Power System with Renewable Energy Sources, where they were briefed on research and sustainable energy projects.
