“My journey from Pakistan to China for my doctoral studies is, in itself, a testament to the power of academic and cultural exchange,” Areej Sabir stated during her presentation. “Today, I am privileged to share my research on a topic that epitomizes our shared global future: ‘Shared Waters, Shared Futures: Climate-Induced Water Challenges in China and Pakistan.’”

“The scientific evidence clearly demonstrates the urgency for cooperative frameworks between China and Pakistan,” she explained. “China’s advanced adaptive governance and climate expertise, combined with Pakistan’s heavy reliance on irrigation agriculture, create a compelling case for deeper collaboration.”
