In a major development, the basic design for the installation of e-gates at the country’s three major airports has been prepared, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday. According to the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), these gates will be installed at Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi airports. In this connection, German experts, who are presently on a tour to Pakistan, have completed their consultations with the stakeholders during a three-day workshop. 

The PAA has said that the installation of these gates will accelerate the immigration of passengers. The Authority has said that this is a step towards bringing airports in Pakistan at par with those in other countries of the world.  It has further said that the consultants are working satisfactorily as per the agreement.
