In a tragic incident, a groom, namely Abdullah died on the spot, and 15 other wedding party guests became seriously injured when their coaster was hit by a trawler from the backside on the Hyderabad-Karachi Motorway on Monday. The incident took place on M-9 Hyderabad-Karachi Motorway in the jurisdiction of Loni Kot Police Station due to overspeeding. 

The injured persons included three of the groom’s brothers, women and children. The wedding party was going to Hyderabad from Naushero Feroze. Soon after receiving the report of the accident, local police reached the site and shifted the dead and injured persons to Lims Hospital. It may be mentioned here that on Sunday another groom lost his life on his Walima Day and two others got injured when a motorcycle collided with a speeding trailer on Narowal-Shakargarh Road. 

According to rescue officials, the victim was identified as Abdul Shakoor resident of Lalian, Chiniot. The injured were identified as Asadullah of Raipur and Waris Umar from Lalian.
