IRSA releases 268,391 cusecs waterBreaking

Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Monday released 268,391 cusecs water from various rim stations with an inflow of 349,159 cusecs.According to the data released by IRSA, the water level in River Indus at Tarbela Dam was 1461.52 feet which was 59.52 feet higher than the dead level of 1402.00 feet. Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 212,400 cusecs and 153,500 cusecs, respectively.

The water level in River Jhelum at Mangla Dam was 1170.95 feet, which was 120.95 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet. The inflow and outflow of water was recorded 38,035 cusecs and 16,167 cusecs, respectively.The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu and Sukkur was recorded as 191,862, 139,428, 86,236 and 35,045 cusecs, respectively. Similarly, from River Kabul, a total of 30,100 cusecs of water released at Nowshera and 36,358 cusecs released from River Chenab at Marala.
