Pakistan’s security forces successfully thwarted attempted drone attacks on Abbottabad, Swabi and Nowshera, with all unmanned aerial vehicles shot down before causing any damage, security sources confirmed. Officials said no casualties were reported in the incidents. According to security sources, Afghan Taliban-backed Fitna al-Khawarij attempted to target Abbottabad, Swabi and Nowshera using small drones.

Pakistan’s anti-drone systems responded swiftly, intercepting and shooting down all incoming drones. Authorities confirmed that the attempted attacks failed completely and no loss of life or property was reported. Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar also confirmed that all drones were neutralized by Pakistan’s anti-drone system and no casualties were reported.

He reiterated that the defensive response ensured public safety in the targeted areas. Security sources said the incidents once again exposed what they described as a nefarious nexus between the Afghan Taliban regime and terrorism in Pakistan. They maintained that the attempted attacks reflect ongoing efforts by hostile elements to destabilize the country.
