Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central leader Rauf Hassan has announced that the party will soon launch a nationwide movement, with top leadership taking charge from the frontlines. Speaking during a private TV channel program he emphasized that PTI's movement will begin within the next two weeks and will be rooted in public support. “Imran Khan has made it clear that any party member who cannot bear the burden of our narrative should step aside,” said Hassan.
He asserted that unlike previous protests, this time the PTI leadership would actively lead the movement, rallying the nation behind them. Hassan painted a bleak picture of the current political environment, claiming that the country is facing a breakdown of constitutional governance. “There is no constitution, law, or democracy in the country anymore.
We cannot trust the institutions, and we do not believe we will get justice from the judiciary,” he stated, further alleging that the 26th Constitutional Amendment had compromised the judiciary’s independence. Despite the challenges, Hassan expressed hope in the power of the people and stressed that dialogue remains the ultimate objective.
“Resistance politics leads to dialogue, and the way forward must be through meaningful talks,” he said, adding that the party wishes to initiate dialogue before formally launching its movement. Meanwhile, sources have revealed the inside story of a recent PTI parliamentary party meeting held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The session reportedly focused on launching a movement for the release of party founder Imran Khan, along with discussions on the prevailing political and law and order situation in the province.
However, key PTI figures including Atif Khan, Shahram Khan, Sher Ali Arbab, and Junaid Akbar were notably absent from the meeting, according to insiders. The developments come as PTI continues to reorganize and strategize amid ongoing legal and political challenges, with party leadership signaling a shift toward direct public mobilization in the coming weeks.
