Two dacoits have been killed while two others fled from the scene due darkness in encounter with Crime Control Department (CCD), Vehari police. The police spokesman said the the CCD team deputed on check post WB/19 Ratta Tibba road receive information that four unidentified persons after snatching Rs 16,000 from a man namely, Muhammad Amjad and fled away. 

The police team cordoned off the area and tried to stop a car, but the persons riding in the car tried to flee and opened fire on the police near Pull WB/21, he added. The spokesman said in retaliation, two robbers identified as Akram Maseeh and Shabeer Hussain killed on spot, while their two other accomplices managed to escape. The police also recovered a 30 bore pistol from their possessions.He said the dacoits killed in the encounter were wanted to the police over 50 cases of dacoity and snatchings.
