Cricket Australia confirms Pakistan tour at end of JanBreaking

The Cricket Australia has confirmed the Pakistan tour for a three-match T20I series at the end of January, ahead of the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.According to details, the tour dates have been agreed with Pakistan, with the first T20I scheduled for January 29. All three matches will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The series will commence on January 29, with the remaining matches set for  January 31 and February 1. The Australian T20I squad will arrive in Lahore on Wednesday, January 28.

The toss for all three matches will take place at 5:30 pm Pakistan Standard Time, with the first ball scheduled for 6:00 pm. The series is considered highly significant for both teams ahead of next month’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. Pakistan will compete in Group A, while Australia have been placed in Group B. This will be Australia’s third tour of Pakistan since March 2022. During that visit, Australia played a Test series, three One-Day Internationals, and one T20I.

Three matches of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 were also held in Pakistan. In the only T20I previously played at Gaddafi Stadium, Australia defeated Pakistan by three wickets. “We are excited to host Australia for a three-match T20I series,” said PCB Chief Operating Officer Sumair Ahmad Syed.“This series will provide Pakistani cricket fans with a magnificent start to the year,” he added. “Since March 2022, the Australian team have played one Test, five ODIs, and one T20I at Gaddafi Stadium, so the ground is familiar to them,” he added.
