Winter holidays announced in schools from Dec 16Breaking

November 17, 2025

Government schools in Chaman have started their annual examinations for junior classes, marking the beginning of a busy academic period ahead of the region’s extended winter break. According to the Education Department, exams for students from first grade to seventh grade began on November 16.  These assessments will continue through November 24 across government schools in Chaman.

Teachers and administrators have been directed to ensure smooth and timely conduct of the exams, which are an important part of the academic calendar in the region.  The Education Department also confirmed that Class 8 examinations will begin on November 24. These assessments will be held under the Balochistan Board, which oversees middle school examinations across the province.

Government schools located in the colder regions of Balochistan will observe a two-and-a-half-month winter break starting December 16. The extended closure is part of the province’s annual schedule to protect students from harsh weather conditions.  The Education Department noted that schools will reopen after the winter vacation once temperatures begin to rise, ensuring a safer learning environment for students.
