Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Monday assured that the provincial government will not abandon families displaced from Tirah and will ensure their dignified relocation and provision of all basic facilities. He was addressing an important jirga of elders and notables from Khyber district wherein the law and order situation in the district and the problems faced by families displaced from Tirah were discussed in detail.
The jirga reviewed security challenges and humanitarian concerns arising from displacement. Addressing the participants, the CM said the KP government stands firmly with the affected families and will take all necessary steps to facilitate their honorable resettlement. He stated that the tribal people have made countless sacrifices for the country, leaving behind their homes and livelihoods in the national interest.
Sohail Afridi reiterated his commitment to peaceful development, saying he would give the youth pens instead of guns and would stand on the front line for the country’s defense without hesitation or sacrifice. The CM emphasized that he stands firmly. with his people in difficult times and called for national unity to support families displaced from Tirah. He said collective efforts were essential to address their hardships and ensure lasting peace and stability in Khyber district.
