American magazine, Bloomberg, has exposed India’s dangerous nuclear ambitions. A Bloomberg report said Modi’s Indian government is considering spending $214 billion on the nuclear program and is drafting legislation to include the private sector in the nuclear programme. According to the report, the Modi government plans to install 100 gigawatt nuclear plants by 2047.
The report further said India is not ready to take responsibility for an incident at a nuclear plant, as under international law, the country operating the plant is responsible for the incident. The report said international companies are not interested in providing parts for nuclear plants to the Modi government because incidents of theft of nuclear material are common in India, which is a serious concern to the international community.
