Indian authorities have suspended mobile internet services on 37 telecom towers in the Bhaderwah area of Doda district of In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.According to Kashmir Media Service, the order for suspension was issued by the Home Department of the occupied territory and will remain in force until May 27.
The Inspector General of Police for Jammu Zone has confirmed the suspension, stating that it aims to maintain public order and security. The suspension affects all mobile data services from 2G to 5G, while Wi-Fi services remain partially operational. Telecom and internet service providers have been directed to fully comply with the government order.
Observers say this move is yet another example of India’s ongoing suppression in the occupied territory, where the Modi regime has completely curbed the right to freedom of expression. Voices raised against Indian atrocities are often silenced through arbitrary detentions under black laws like the Public Safety Act (PSA) and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
