Authorities sealed nine shops and imposed fines during an anti-encroachment operation carried out in Attock on Monday, following complaints from residents about illegal occupation of public space.  Acting on public grievances, the para force and enforcement officials launched a targeted operation at Sadat Plaza under the supervision of Inspector Usman Rafiq.

During the drive, a mobile counter established on government land and several extended shop sheds encroaching onto public walkways were removed.  Officials also took action against illegal parking in the area, coordinating with traffic police to install a “no parking” signboard aimed at easing congestion caused by motorcycles and ensuring smooth pedestrian movement.

Speaking to media, Inspector Rafiq said enforcing government SOPs remained a top priority, adding that encroachments damage the city’s appearance and create difficulties for the public. He warned that illegal structures and unauthorized use of state land would not be tolerated, stressing that the campaign would continue until all such encroachments were removed from the city.
