A building of a basic health unit (BHU) was partially damaged when an explosive device exploded in Bannu.The incident occurred in the Mandu Khas area of Tehsil Miryan in Bannu. The explosive material was hidden in the building. No loss of life was reported from the site of the explosion.

Earlier in May 2025, three schoolboys were injured in a roadside bomb explosion in Surani Sikandakhel Bala area of Bannu district. Police said that unknown miscreants had planted an improvised explosive device along a road near a government high school to target police and security forces.  He said the blast occurred when a police patrol party was passing by.
