The body of a retired Indian paramilitary soldier was discovered under mysterious circumstances inside a water tank in the Surankote area of Poonch, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).  According to Kashmir Media Service, the deceased has been identified as Mohammad Shabir, a resident of Mohalla Khatna in Surankote and retired soldier of the Centre Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

His dead body was found this morning. He is survived by one son and three daughters.  The incident has caused panic in among local residents. Officials said cognisance has been taken and further investigation is underway.
