Five people lost their lives in separate tragic incidents across different areas of the city, including accidents and natural deaths.According to Edhi sources, the body of a 50-year-old man was recovered from a house on Haider Road in the Islampura area. The deceased was identified as Iqbal. Initial reports suggest the body was approximately two days old.

In another incident in Harbanspura, a woman was critically injured when her dupatta got entangled in a motorcycle chain. She was shifted to hospital, where 35-year-old Iffat Bibi later succumbed to her injuries.Separately, a 22-year-old youth, identified as Tayyab, a resident of Khanqah Dogran, was killed after being hit by a train in the Factory Area.Meanwhile, the body of an unidentified man, aged around 35, was found near the Tamaseel Theatre on Ferozepur Road.

He is suspected to have been a drug addict, though his identity has not yet been confirmed. In another case, the body of a 45-year-old unidentified man was recovered near Singhpura Mandi. An Edhi spokesperson said the death also appeared to be linked to drug use. Police and investigative agencies have launched inquiries into the incidents, while all bodies have been shifted to the morgue by Edhi volunteers for further legal proceedings.
