Injured DSP couple celebrates wedding anniversary at Shikarpur hospitalتازترین

A couple of DSPs, who had been seriously injured due to firing by dacoits during an encounter in Shikarpur, Sindh, celebrated their wedding anniversary at an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital. A large cake was cut to mark the occasion.Both husband and wife, DSP Dr Zahoor Ahmad Soomro and DSP Paras Bakhrani, dressed in gowns of patients, had a smile on their faces, which was full of life and vitality. They joined their bandaged hands together to make the sign of a heart.

They were due to celebrate their wedding anniversary on December 9.  And for that, they had arranged a cake and made special arrangements. But on that very day, they were seriously injured in an encounter with dacoits who were fleeing after committing robbery.Therefore, they celebrated the big day at a hospital. DSP Paras has now been shifted from the ICU to a room, while her husband, Dr. Soomro, has been discharged from the hospital.

However, he is still present with his wife at the hospital. When the BBC approached them on Saturday evening, Paras had been shifted to a room. However, she was in pain and was not in a position to speak for the next few days.Therefore, the BBC spoke to her husband, who informed that dacoits had robbed a man of Rs2.6 million in Shikarpur on December 7.

Nine dacoits were killed while two senior police officers injured during a joint operation launched by Rangers and police in Shikarpur District of Sindh on last Tuesday morning.The joint operation was initiated in Manchhar Shah area in the jurisdiction of Store Gang Police Station during which dacoits used rocket-launchers to attack a police mobile van.
