Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar landed in Washington, DC on an official visit during which he will hold talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.Upon his arrival in Washington, Ishaq Dar was received by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, along with senior officials of the Embassy of Pakistan.

During the visit, Ishaq Dar will meet US Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Marco Rubio to discuss matters of bilateral and regional significance with focus on regional and global developments of mutual interest. The discussions will also focus on strengthening cooperation in key priority sectors, as well as Pakistan’s efforts to promote regional peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy.

The visit of Deputy Prime Minister reflects Pakistan’s commitment to further deepening its longstanding and broad-based partnership with the United States.Following the conclusion of his official engagements, he will return to Islamabad later the same day.
