President of the Institute of Peace and Development (INSPAD), Dr. Muhammad Tahir Tabassum, has said that the ongoing struggle and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people are reminiscent of the spirit and perseverance of the early Muslims in the first century of Islam. Dr. Muhammad Tahir expressed these views while speaking at a luncheon he hosted in Rawalakot. The event was presided over by Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf Khan, Registrar of the University of Poonch, Rawalakot.
Senior journalist and member of the Board of Governors of the Press Foundation, Sardar Aijaz Khaleeq Khan, attended as the chief guest. He emphasized that the tireless efforts of the Kashmiri people will never go in vain, and strongly condemned India and Israel for violating all international laws in Kashmir and Palestine, respectively. Dr. Tabassum called on the United Nations and other global bodies to impose the strictest sanctions on both India and Israel.
He urged them to ensure an immediate ceasefire in Palestine, an end to mass killings, and serious human rights violations in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK). He also demanded the unconditional release of all incarcerated Kashmiri leaders. The luncheon was also attended by Secretary General of the Sadhan Educational Conference Dr. Ghulam Hussain Khan, former Dean Prof.
Dr. Salim Khan, President of the Bar Sardar Sabir Kashmiri Advocate, former Bar President Sardar Asim Irshad Advocate, former Administrator and PML-N leader Sardar Zakir Khan, Dr. Fiaz Naqi, Dr. Nawaz Khan, Sardar Aamir Jahangir Khan, Sardar Zahid Aslam, and Sardar Anwar Khan. Among the media representatives present were senior journalists Sardar Abid Siddique, Sardar Abdul Razzaq, Sardar Rashid Nazir, Chaudhry Badruddin, Shahzad Abbasi, Sardar Adnan Ashraf, and Sardar Ahsan Irshad.
