Naqvi announces plots, scholarships, AI foreign courses for policeتازترین

Making a number of announcements for the welfare of police personnel on Wednesday, Minister for Interior Syed Mohsin Naqvi  said that the ASPs receiving training at the National Police Academy (NPA) would be provided plots every year on easy installments.Chairing a meeting at the National Police Foundation (NPF) in Islamabad, he also announced that every year, 10 inspectors, sub-inspectors and ASIs would be sent abroad on scholarships for police-related courses.

The minister further said that every year the NPF would bear the educational expenses of sons or daughters of 15 police constables, who wished to study at the country’s leading universities.Likewise, he went on to say that every year, five officers of the ranks of SP and SSP would be sent abroad on scholarships to receive training in the Artificial Intelligence (AI).Naqvi, on the occasion, also sought a comprehensive plan for an increase in the resources of the NPF.

He, on the occasion, praised the performance of the entire staff for lifting the department out of a crisis.Foundation’s Acting Managing Director Ali Nasir Rizvi briefed the minister on the projects initiated for the welfare of police personnel as well as the performance of the department.All directors, deputy directors and other concerned officials were present at the meeting.

On the other hand, also on Wednesday, 24 kanals of land were allotted for building 500 chambers of lawyers of the District Judicial Complex.The land allotted is adjacent to the complex.The groundbreaking ceremony will be held on January 8. Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi and the Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar will inaugurate the project.
