Naqvi inspects immigration facilities for Hajj pilgrims at Islamabad Airportتازترین

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday paid a surprise visit to Islamabad International Airport, where he reviewed the immigration facilities for Hajj pilgrims and other passengers.

The Interior Minister inspected the special counters set up under the ‘Road to Makkah’ programme where Pakistani Hajj pilgrims are being provided immigration facilities before they reach Saudi Arabia.  Mohsin Naqvi also met the staff on the spot and reviewed the arrangements.

Mohsin Naqvi inquired from the passengers about the immigration and other facilities. Hajj pilgrims expressed satisfaction over the excellent arrangements for Saudi immigration facilities at Islamabad Airport under the Road to Makkah programme and thanked Mohsin Naqvi for making it possible.

The process was very easy and no difficulty was encountered, Hajj pilgrims said, adding immigration took a few minutes and the process was very easy. All immigration counters were functional on international arrivals. Immigration facilities were provided on time, passengers said.

The Interior Minister also inspected the Joint Search Check Post and instructed to make the search system more effective and faster. Mohsin Naqvi said security system is being upgraded with the use of modern technology.

Interior Minister emphasized on ensuring passenger convenience and security at the airport at the same time. Mohsin Naqvi directed all relevant agencies to work in harmony. Providing facilities to passengers without delay is the top priority, Mohsin Naqvi said.
