Minister of State for Religious Affairs Kheal Das Kohistani said that national interest must always prevail over political or personal gains. Talking to a private news channel, he said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had consistently prioritized the country's welfare above all else. “As political worker, we believe in dialogue and engagement with all political leaders, parties, and opponents to resolve differences,” he stated.
He said that constructive discussions were essential for bridging political divides and promoting national progress. Criticizing the opposition, he said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had failed to garner meaningful public support and had lost its relevance among the masses. “They no longer enjoy the public’s confidence. There is minimal enthusiasm for their actions,” he said. He also recalled that during its time in government, PTI engaged in political victimization and fabricated cases against opponents.
