Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has departed for official visits to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Türkiye from April 15 to 18. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties and enhance Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement on regional and global issues. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi are accompanying the prime minister.

The prime minister’s visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar are taking place in a bilateral context, according to the Foreign Office. During these engagements, Shehbaz Sharif will meet the leadership of both countries to discuss ongoing cooperation as well as regional peace and security. Key areas of discussion will include strengthening bilateral relations as well as addressing regional peace and security challenges.

Officials say the meetings reflect Pakistan’s continued focus on deepening strategic partnerships in the Gulf region. Following his Gulf engagements, the prime minister will travel to Türkiye to attend the Fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum. The high-level global event brings together world leaders to discuss pressing international issues. During the forum, Shehbaz Sharif will participate in the Leaders’ Panel alongside other global leaders.

He is expected to present Pakistan’s perspective on key global and regional matters. On the sidelines of the forum, the PM is scheduled to hold important bilateral meetings. This includes a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an. In addition, he is expected to interact with several other world leaders attending the forum, further strengthening Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach.
