A recommendation has been made to the Punjab government to increase arm licence renewal fee. A proposal had been made to increase the renewal fee of a shotgun’s licence to Rs25,000; that of a pistol and a revolver to Rs50,000; that of a semi-automatic rifle to Rs100,000, and that of automatic rifle to Rs250,000. Sources said that an increase had been suggested to make the arm licence system effective.
