Punjab CM to evaluate, monitor performance of govt departmentsتازترین

For the first time in province, a Punjab Performance Management Unit will be established to evaluate and monitor the performance of government departments. This decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore on Friday. It was appraised in the meeting that CM IT Units will also be established at both divisional and district levels to strengthen governance. 

The Chief Minister will personally carry out live monitoring across the province through a virtual tour wall and an integrated digital dashboard. The Punjab Performance Management Unit will ensure continuous tracking of 22 key performance indicators, enabling transparent and efficient services delivery. In Punjab, open manholes, inflation, stray dogs, wall chalking, overflowing sewers, graveyards or cart bazaars, and the staff and officers of all institutions will be monitored. 

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's eyes will now be on every hospital, every educational institution, and every government office, said the press release issue by the government. Maryam Nawaz will also check the attendance and performance of every officer and employee in Punjab through the virtual tour. Punjab Performance Management Unit will continuously monitor 22 key performance indicators. First KPI Dashboard activated to evaluate the performance of commissioners, deputy commissioners, and assistant commissioners. 

With the establishment of the Performance Management Unit, prices of flour, bread, and food items will no longer fall prey to negligence. Performance Management Unit will directly monitor the campaign to protect children from stray dogs. The Performance Management Unit will ensure implementation of the ban on wall chalking in cities. Punjab Performance Management Unit will continuously monitor cleanliness under the Clean Punjab program, drainage and sewage systems in every city.
