A Kashmir Youth Conference was held at Kashmir House in Islamabad, today. The speakers addressing the Kashmir Youth Conference paid rich tributes to the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman Masarat Alam Butt. They said Musrat Alam Butt is the most powerful voice of Kashmiri resistance and he was full of freedom spirit since his student days. When state oppression increased in the 90s, Musrat Alam joined the freedom movement regularly, they added.
The speakers said after the death of veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani, Mussrat Alam Butt was unanimously nominated as the chairman of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference. They said Musarat Alam Butt launched the global movement of Quit Kashmir. They said India arrested him and declared him the most dangerous person. They said Mussrat Alam Butt has been in a notorious jail of India for years and India had to bow before the iron will of Musrat Alam Butt as it could not weaken the freedom spirit of the iron man.
The speakers said the hardships he has endured in prison are commendable and also prayed for illegally detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, Aasiya Andrabi and other Kashmiri prisoners. They on the occasion praised the Pakistan Army, saying Pakistan was victorious in the in May Pak-Indi war, adding Pakistan's victory means that Kashmiris have been victorious. The speakers said the morale of Kashmiris has increased after this war as the whole world witnessed that Pakistan was victorious.
This victory encouraged those who adopted a principled position and the international community is also waking up and looking at what is happening in Kashmir. They said President Trump announced a ceasefire between Pakistan and India on social media and Pakistan thanked the US for its role in following diplomatic principles but India refused to recognize any role of the US. The speakers included Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, former AJK President Sardar Masood Khan, APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Altaf Hussain Wani, Sheikh Abdul Mateen and others.
