Two under-custody accused died during a police encounter in Lahore. The police encounter took place in the jurisdiction of Nishtar Town Police Station, Lahore. Crime Control Department (CCD) sources said that a CCD team was taking the accused to a location in Nishtar Town for recovery. After taking notice of the CCD team, some colleagues of the accused opened fire on them.

Both accused received serious bullet injuries during a heavy exchange of fire. CCD team was taking the injured accused to a hospital but they breathed their last on way to the hospital. Later, all the colleagues of the accused escaped from the scene taking advantage of the darkness. The CCD constituted a team to apprehend the culprits.
