50 lawyers booked for ransacking Multan Judicial Complex

MULTAN, Dec 14 (INP): The Bahauddin Zakariya police have registered a case against 50 lawyers on the charge of ransacking Judicial Complex. The lawyers had resorted to violence and pelted the courts with stones while protesting against lack of facilities in Judicial Complex. The case has been registered against the 50 lawyers, including MHCBA president Sher Zaman Qureshi, under sections 7ATA, 123B, 353, 148 and 149 of the PPC. However, MHCBA Sher Zaman Qureshi, Mahmood Ashraf Khan, Yousaf Zubair, Khalid Ashraf Khan courted their arrest and were shifted to Bahauddin police station. Meanwhile, the lawyers have launched Jail Bharo Tehreek and staged a sit-in to press for their demand. They said that they would continue their protest until fulfillment of their protest. INP/AJ
