6 dead in building fire in south China

GUANGZHOU, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- Six were killed in a building fire in Guzhen Township, the city of Zhongshan, south China's Guangdong Province, the local government said Sunday.
At 2:03 a.m. on Sunday, the local fire department received a report that a fire broke out in a residential building on Jinnan road in the township.
The fire was put out at around 3 a.m. So far, six were killed.
Further investigation into the cause of the fire is underway. ■
