Abhinandan's wife was also an IAF officer

ISLAMABAD, Feb 28 (INP): Some more details regarding Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, who was taken into custody by the Pakistan’s armed forces on Wednesday, have surfaced.
According to reports making rounds on social media, Abhinandan is a flying pilot of Indian Air Force. He is married and has a child.
Abhinandan’s wife was also an IAF officer, appointed to the post of squadron leader.
Tanvi Marwaha has taken retirement from the IAF.
The detained Indian pilot is said to be the son of a retired Air Marshall who had joined the IAF in 1973.
Abhinandan was flying an MiG 21 Bison jet on Wednesday that was shot down by Pakistan Air Force (PAF) with the pilot taken into custody.
Soon after the attack, a footage of the captive was released, in which he can be heard saying, “My name is Wing Commander Abhinandan. My service number is 27981. I am a flying pilot. My religion is Hindu.”
When asked to speak more, he replied: "Sorry, Sir. That's all I'm supposed to tell you.
