AC accepts Nawaz Sharif’s plea shift prison from Adyala to Kot Lakhpat Jail

ISLAMABAD, Dec 24 (INP): Accountability Court has accepted the plea of Nawaz’ Sharif’s Counsel Khawaja Haris to shift his client’s prison from Adyala Jail Rawalpindi to Kot Lakhpat Jail.
Former Premier Nawaz Sharif was handed seven years of jail time in Al-Azizia Reference Case. Although, Accountability Court acquitted him in Flagship Investment Reference.
[timed-content-server show="12/25/2018 01:00 Asia/Karachi"]Soon after the court ruled Former Premier guilt, his lawyer Khawaja Haris requested before court to change the prison of his client from Adyala Jail to Kot Lakhpat Jail.PML-N Supremo Nawaz Sharif was jailed for seven years by the Accountability Court and also fined Rs. 1.5 Billion in Al-Azizia Steel Mills Case. The decision was reserved against him in Al-Azizia Steel Mills Reference since PML-N Supremo was unable to present his money trail.Whereas, the PML-N Supremo was acquitted in Flagship Investment Reference after lack of evidence against him. There was not enough evidence to convict Nawaz in the Flagship reference, thus he has been acquitted, the decision read. Nawaz Sharif has been disqualified from holding any public office for 10 years after being found guilty in Al-Azizia Reference. INP/AJ[/timed-content-server]Related Articles
