Afghan fresh fruit export falls to Pakistan

KABUL, Oct 27 (INP) The Afghan government and farmers tasted the first bitter pill as export of fresh fruit to Pakistan has “decreased by almost 80 percent” after the government raised tariffs on imports. Head of the union, Akhtar Mohammad, told an Afghan TV channel that the export of fresh fruit to Pakistan will stop if the tariffs on the Afghan products are not dropped. INP/AH/LK
