ISLAMABAD, Sept 09 (INP): Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will accept admission forms for new semester (Autumn 2018) till Sept. 25, without late fee, it was announced here on Wednesday.

The last date for enrollment of new admissions has been extended to accommodate the aspiring students. The facility is available for all the announced University’s programs from Matric to Ph.D level, both for fresh and continuing students.

The decision to this effect was taken by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui on the demand of prospective applicants and to facilitate the applicants, particularly those living in remote regions.

Overwhelming rush of the admission’s seekers was witnessed here at the University’s main campus and the 44 regional offices across the country on Wednesday that was earlier fixed the last date for the purpose.

Interest being shown by the students, continuing their study through the non-formal system was unprecedented. It reflected the trust of the people in the University’s learning and management system that was further improved through some academic initiatives, taken during the last four years, by the incumbent Vice Chancellor. Students’ support system, professional development and smart-use of new technology received special attention.

According to the Director Admissions Syed Ziaul Hussnain Naqvi, special measures have been taken for facilitating the students in the admission process. Admissions forms and prospectuses could be obtained from the University’s 44-Regional Campuses and Coordinating Offices Moreover prospectus and admission forms of all programs could also be downed-load from the University’s official website.
