ISLAMABAD, May 22 (INP): Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has formally started e-registration for tutors, providing an opportunity to the well-qualified, motivated aspirant applicants to become a part of the University’s teaching process.
According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, the University through its Digital Transformation Program, has created an online portal for the e-Registration of the Part Time Tutors. In this connection, an advertisement has appeared in various newspapers of the country in the recent week.

This step is in continuation of the initiative taken by the Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Zia Ul-Qayyum, focusing on adopting latest methods and technology to digitize different processes/systems and to provide adequate tutorial support to the students. Newly introduced online e-Registration portal is user friendly and the candidates/applicants can apply from their homes and work places, without any time taking activity. The e-Registration system has made life easy and aspirants, who meet the qualification and experience requirements laid down by the university, can apply by visitinghttps://tutor.aiou.edu.pk and get themselves registered easily. The applicants can also create their profile easily using smartphone by accessing the portal. The registration will be completed after depositing requisite fee and selection of courses. The tutors already working for AIOU will also have to apply for e-Registration through the same portal. The processing fee of Rs. 1000/- can be deposited in any branch of MCB bank after 48 hours of downloading the fee challan from the portal. The applicants will update the fee details on portal and retain the receipts. Their fee will automatically be varied from the bank. In order to strengthen tutor registration process and to facilitate the interested candidates, Inamullah Shaikh, Director Regional Services, has directed all Regional Offices of AIOU to establish help desk for providing assistance to the aspirants and applicants.
