Moscow, Jan 23 (INP) Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan will hold talks in Moscow today to find a political solution to Syrian conflict. Reports said that the two leaders will also exchange views on regional and international issues. In a speech on Monday, Erdogan said he would discuss with Putin the creation of a Turkish-controlled “security zone” in northern Syria. The two leaders are on opposite sides of the conflict in Syria. Despite this, they have worked closely to find a political solution to the seven-year conflict. Russia and Turkey have agreed to coordinate ground operations in Syria after US President Donald Trump’s announcement on pulling 2,000 American troops out of Syria last month.
