Bilawal security case: SHC seeks copy of SCP decision about VVIPs security

KARACHI, Dec 18 (INP): Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday sought a copy of the Supreme Court decision about VVIPs security while hearing a case about security of People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The bench while hearing the case remarked that the apex court had ordered withdrawing security from the people who had provided heavy security by the government.
During the hearing Chief Justice of Sindh High Court (SHC) remarked that providing protection and security is the responsibility of the state.

How many police officials have been posted outside the residence of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari today, the bench further asked. Bilawal’s counsel replied, “Bilawal Bhutto’s security is not a provincial matter. It is responsibility of the centre”. The bench asked, “What are the Supreme Court’s orders on security of those not having any government office?. The bench, later adjourned the hearing till January 15.
