SRINAGAR: Dec 17 (INP) A civilian driver was killed by the Indian Army firing in occupied Kashmir's Kupwara district, police said on Sunday. Local people and family members, said that the driver was shot at by the army just few yards from his house as he was about to start the engine to ferry a patient to a hospital. A police official however said Asif Iqbal, was injured in firing by Army personnel during an ambush at Thandipora area of Kupwara last night. He said the forces had laid an ambush in the area following intelligence inputs about the movement of militants. Iqbal was rushed to a hospital at Kralpora where from he was referred to a hospital in Srinagar but he succumbed on the way, the official said. INP/AH
