COAS Gen Bajwa visits NWA, lays wrath on ‘Shuhada Monument’

RAWALPINDI, Jan 03 (INP): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday visited North Waziristan Agency (NWA). The COAS laid wreath at Shuhada monument Miranshah, the tribal headquarters of NWA. General officer Commanding Miranshah gave detailed briefing about security situation, rehabilitation of TDPs and progress on socio-economic development projects in the Agency. Army Chief Gen. Bajwa also visited newly constructed border forts and fencing along Pak-Afghan border. The COAS appreciated efforts of the formation for speedy and quality work for border security measures. Lieutenant General Khalid Nazir Butt, Commander Peshawar Corps was also present during the visit. INP/SB/AJ
