Customs seize consignment carrying 50 kgs heroin at Karachi airport

KARACHI, May 16 (INP): A customs department team on Thursday seized a consignment carrying 50 kilograms of heroin at the Karachi airport.
As per the deputy commissioner customs, the heroin was concealed in the consignment carrying ladies handbag and shoes.

According to officials, the value of the drugs was worth of Rs5 million in the international market. Back in the month of April, the customs team raided the office of General Post Office and seized a parcel with a heroin concealed in it. According to officials, the parcel was about to be sent to Spain. A man named Farmanullah had submitted the parcel from Peshawar, and it had to be delivered to recipient Javed Williams in Spain. The sender had concealed a quantity of heroin in a flower vase. The customs team had seized the parcel and issued orders to arrest the sender immediately.
