Death toll in Tharparkar rises as four more minors die of malnutrition

THARPARKAR, Oct 11 (INP): Four minors who were under treatment for malnutrition at the Civil Hospital in Mithi passed away on Thursday, mounting the death toll to 14 during current month.
According to the Tharparkar Department of Health, the minors were aged between a day and eight months. All of the minors passed away in the past 24 hours.

The deaths reported by the local health department have said to be caused by malnutrition and other diseases in the area. According to the health department, every year 1,500 children die due to malnutrition, infections and lack of proper medical facilities in the remote region.
